What is New Jersey Chinese Cultural Studies
Foundation?
The
New Jersey Chinese Cultural Studies Foundation (NJCCSF) is a non-profit and
tax-exempt charitable organization, recognized by the Internal Revenue Service
as a 501(c)3 organization, and United Way code # 036520.
Our
Mission
To
provide financial aid and scholarships for students who study Chinese language,
culture and history as well as to sponsor events and activities which fulfill
these objectives in the State of New Jersey.
a)
To recognize individuals’ contributions to Chinese cultural studies;
b)
To provide financial assistance to individuals who would like to study Chinese
culture in accredited educational institutions, and
c)
To sponsor activities held by other non-profit and non-political organizations
with similar interests.
The
Foundation derived from a Overseas Hong Kong Association project to establish
a foundation specifically for promoting the studies of Chinese culture and language.
NJCCSF was officially founded in 1999. The Internal Revenue Services granted
it a tax-exempt non-profit charitable organization status in February 2000.
Since its formation, OHKA have organized various fund-raising activities and is actively pursing more businesses and individuals to contribute money for its cause.
