Award Criteria

Since the formation of NJCCSF in 1999, the founding board members worked very hard in order to set up a sound framework so that their goals can be better served and achieved.

Organizations   

·       Must be non-profit organizations sponsoring non-profit and non-political events that promote Chinese culture, arts, language  and/or history.

·      Events can take place in the form of competitions, exhibitions, cultural performances, festivals, fairs, etc.

Individuals   

·         Legal residents or U.S. citizens, less than 25 years of age, who are either residents of New Jersey or non-residents who participate in the events which take place in the State of New Jersey.   They cannot be immediate family members of NJCCSF board members.

·         Admitted or enrolled in one of the following institutions of studies:

a)     Accredited Chinese studies courses in any academic institutes such as colleges, universities, etc. in New Jersey. 

b)     Registered Chinese language schools in New Jersey.

c)     Any Chinese cultural related courses from any organizations registered in New Jersey.

·        Deadline for fall semester is June 30th of each year

·        Deadline for spring semester is December 31st of each year

Application review process:

·        Applications will be reviewed by the NJCCSF directors at each board meeting.   Approval requires the support of 2/3 of the board members.

Confidentiality and privacy issue:

·        Only NJCCSF board members have access to the application information.   All applications, letters of recommendations and relevant documents will remain strictly confidential.   NJCCSF reserves the right to verify the validity of information provided on all applications.
